'Chromotherapy' is an exhibition of new work by Sydney based artist, Bella Bruzzese. The exhibition explores the therapeutic qualities of colour through abstraction and mystical iconography in painting and sculpture. The exhibition unlocks a passage into Bruzzese's imaginative realm, laden with complex compositions of graphic, abstract forms imbued with a harmonious application of colour and design. The sculptural masks act as evolving conduits of Bruzzese's emotions through expressive faces and characters brought to life with textile, plaster, beads and paint.
With a background in fashion, Bruzzese created print and textile designs for designer labels and international pop stars such as Katy Perry, Sam Smith and most recently, Cardi B’s Grammy performance. In 2022 she launched her Artist in residency print collaboration with the Australian brand Sass & Bide. She was included in the Artist Profile booth curated by 3:33 Art Projects for the 2022 Sydney Contemporary Art Fair as well as Adelaide’s GAGprojects latest online exhibition.
